Before you trust me to
translate Russian to English,
you may want to know who I am!
translate Russian to English I'm Anna Tsaturyan (married name Bowman), 34 years of age, married and mother of a beautiful daughter Sasha, and a wonderful new son Nicholas, who are my inspirations, the best of all my creations : ). I wish you all to have the same feeling of satisfaction and joy from your children.
I was born into a Russian speaking family, and
lived in 3 different republics of the former Soviet Union until
the age of 27. Russian is my native tongue and I was raised on Russian
culture, reading Russian literature and singing Russian songs, just
like everybody else living in the USSR at that time.
My love for languages determined my education and the whole style of life. To be able to translate Russian to English and English to Russian I needed to study English, Russian and Literature and was awarded a Diploma of Master of Linguistics, Specialist of English Language, Russian Language and Literature. My first steps in the translation profession were while I was studying towards my MA in Yerevan State University of Foreign Languages: I was translating different Manuals and Instructions for all sorts of domestic appliances, articles from magazines, etc from English to Russian for all my relatives and friends, as well as their friends. It was a very hard work and was taking me for ever :-). I wanted to do everything right, but experience comes with practise and knowledge, and builds up over the years.
After graduation I worked as a Russian English translator and interpreter in the trade company dealing with import-export of heavy machinery where my primary task was to translate Russian to English. After that I worked in an air company translating everything imaginable related to aircrafts, international flights, contracts and legal documentation, hotels and tourism as well as business and private correspondence. I was working as a company English-Russian translator and interpreter. That was a great experience in translation and to further develop my specialization I studied law at the St. Petersburg University of International Economics and Law and was awarded a BA Diploma in Law. During all that time I was working as a freelance translator for different corporate and private clients as well as governmental organizations.
I married an Englishman in 2001, and since then I have been living and working in the UK as a freelance English-Russian translator from my home office in Lincoln. To maintain connections with my native language of Russian I am reading a lot of Russian periodicals and Russian literature, watching Russian TV programs, and going back to Russia at least twice every year.
If I am translating from Russian into English than all my work is being proofread by native English translators prior to delivery to my clients. Therefore you can be rest assured that all my English Russian translations read naturally.
